Championship Show Bitches 2016

Championship Show Bitches 13/11/16. Judge Brett Lay.

Firstly I would like to thank EMSBTC for inviting me to judge bitches at their championship show, it was an honour and a pleasure to judge this popular and well supported club show. I would also like to thank my stewards Pete Rhodes and Frank Reeder who kept a well organised ring and helped me with my incident with my braces !!!!! Pete you know what I’m talking about Lol…

I was very pleased with my entry and I enjoyed judging a lot of lovely bitches many of which was indeed worthy of a CC and I would like to thank everyone who gave me an entry and took my opinion in a good sporting manner, but I must say quiet a few suffered with dirty teeth which there is no need as there are many ways of cleaning them, why spend all that money on shows only to be let down by stained teeth as sometimes if a judge has to split hair’s this will be a consideration when placing . Mouths on the whole were very good with only a few mouth faults i.e converging canine’s and one undershot. Another note was thick tail’s that spoil the outline of the dog overall.

I was very pleased with my winners and I shocked myself with a few I had not taken much notice of in the past but I was pleasantly surprised when going over them we tend to judge from outside the ring but it is very different when you put hands on.
